2021 American Architecture Awards

Siegel & Strain Architects is pleased to announce that the Redwood Visitor Center has received an American Architecture Award for 2021 (institutional–unbuilt).

The Redwood Visitor Center, designed for Save the Redwoods League in close collaboration with the National Park Service, will serve as the gateway to Redwood National and State Parks, a place to learn about the redwoods, the watershed, the wildlife, active restoration efforts, and the cultural heritage of the area. The building is designed to be all-electric and to achieve net-zero energy. In parallel, the site and adjacent creek will undergo a major ecological restoration effort and the trail network will be expanded
